JACKSON – Copiah-Lincoln Community College Business Technology Instructor Laurie Gambrell of Taylorsville and student Charlette Sue Smith of Mendenhall were selected Copiah-Lincoln Community College’s HEADWAE (Higher Education Appreciation Day – Working for Academic Excellence) honorees for the 2016–2017.
They were honored along with several other outstanding faculty members and students from 36 Mississippi public and private universities and colleges by HEADWAE in part for their individual and academic achievements as an educational instructor and student.
On Appreciation Day, the honorees are invited to tour the State Capitol and are welcomed by the Lieutenant Governor as they are recognized in each chamber of the Legislature.
