Trustmark Announces Retirement of Community Bank President in Magee, Mississippi Market
James A. Smith to Retire Effective June 30, 2016
Trustmark has announced that James A. Smith, Community Market President of the Magee market, will retire effective June 30, 2016.
A reception will be held in Smith’s honor on June 23, 2016, at the Magee Main office from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
“We are very grateful to James and his valuable contributions to both Trustmark and the Magee community. Under his leadership and guidance, James has led efforts to provide outstanding customer service and develop Trustmark’s presence in Magee, leaving the market well-positioned for continued success,” Regional President Jerry Hall stated.
Smith has 36 years of banking experience, having served in the areas of branch management and commercial lending leading up to his role as Community Market President.
He is active in the community and currently serves as chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Simpson County Development District, secretary of the Magee Lions Club, secretary and treasurer of the Simpson County Country Club, as well as member of the financial review committee for First Baptist Church of Magee. He is past president and board member for both the Magee Chamber of Commerce and the Simpson County Economic Development Foundation.
